A total of $37 million was set aside for land purchases through the bond program, with the hopes that it would provide four elementary sites, three middle school sites and three high school sites. This was to include related infrastructure costs.
However, land prices in Frisco ISD increased considerably after the development of the bond program. A slowdown in enrollment growth allowed the District to reprioritize funds toward land that had been previously planned for an elementary school.
In all, FISD was able to purchase the following sites using 2014 bond funds:
91 acres north of Eldorado Parkway and east of Frisco Street (Memorial High School)
22 acres north of Rockhill Parkway and east of FM 423 (Wilkinson Middle School)
15 acres south of Eldorado Parkway along Mammoth Cave Lane (Liscano Elementary)
11 acres east of Coit Road near Lynchburg Drive (Talley Elementary)
14 acres north of Rockhill Parkway and east of FM 423 (Minett Elementary School)
82 acres at the northwest corner of Main Street and Coit Road
65 acres north of Rockhill Parkway and east of FM 423 (Panther Creek High School)
