Frisco ISD is dedicated to educating our youngest students and meeting their unique needs. We serve three and four year olds who live throughout the school district in a variety of high-quality early childhood programs.

Prekindergarten Program

Frisco ISD offers a full-day Prekindergarten Program at both the Early Childhood School and designated elementary campuses across the District. Students must be at least four years of age on or before September 1 of the target school year to be eligible to apply.

The program is free and is only for qualifying students. We do not offer a tuition program at this time. The focus of the prekindergarten program is to develop oral language skills, prerequisite skills for emergent reading and early math concepts, and to build readiness skills for successful entry into kindergarten. If your child is age-eligible and you are interested in applying to see if your child qualifies for the Pre-K Program, please visit our prekindergarten page.

Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)

Students identified with a disability can begin receiving special education services as early as their third birthday.  Services are based on an Individual Education Plan (IEP) that is determined after an evaluation has been completed.  For information regarding requesting a referral for special education services, please visit Frisco ISD's Child Find page. For additional information regarding the various special education services available to eligible children at the early childhood level, please visit Frisco ISD's ECSE page.
