Request for Qualifications (RFQ)

To meet FISD demand for professional services, the purchasing department utilizes a proposal called an RFQ ( Request For Qualifications). Professional services are those services identified by Texas Education Code (TEC) §44.031 and Texas Government Code §2254.002, §2269.057 and §2269.058. These services are not necessarily evaluated based on “best price”, but instead evaluated for the quality and level of service each professional provides. Individual professions identified within these specific statutes include:

• Certified public accounting

• Fiscal agent

• Financial consultant

• Attorney

• Technology consultant

• Licensed real estate appraising

• Nursing

• Medicine

• Optometry

• Landscape architecture

• Architect

• Engineer

• Land surveyor

• Construction material engineering, testing and inspection services
