Welcome to Frisco ISD
Frisco ISD serves students living within its attendance zones in Frisco, Little Elm, McKinney, and Plano, and welcomes new families from across Texas, the U.S., and abroad. Students outside District boundaries may be eligible to enroll through the Access Frisco program, which offers limited seats at select campuses based on availability.
Below, you’ll find key information about our schools, enrollment process, and answers to common questions from relocating families. We're here to help make your transition to Frisco ISD as smooth as possible.
Zoning and Enrollment
Find your Campus
Not sure which school your child will attend? Search your address or view zones by map, street name or subdivision. If you live near the District boundary, contact us to confirm your school zone.
Enrolling in Frisco ISD
After enrolling, and submitting proof of residency and updated immunization records, you’ll receive a welcome email with your child’s student ID. If you don’t see it, check your junk or spam folder. Be sure to save this ID number—it’s essential for next steps.
School Supplies
Elementary
Supply lists are posted on each elementary campus website. Kindergarten and first grade students use iPads, while second through fifth graders are issued Chromebooks as part of the 1:1 Technology Program.
Secondary
Some middle school campuses post supply lists on their campus website, Ibut supplies vary by course. Teachers will share required materials during the first week. Students should bring paper, a folder, and a pen or pencil on the first day.
Middle schoolers do not use lockers and carry backpacks to class. All secondary students are encouraged to check out a Chromebook as part of the 1:1 Technology Program. Students in Algebra I and higher will have access to TI-84 calculators in class. Some secondary classes—like art—have required supply fees, which can be found in the course catalog.
Student and Parent Accounts
The Portal
The Portal provides personalized access for parents, students, and staff.
-
Parents can view student information, complete forms, and request transfers or off-campus PE—all in one place.
-
Students can access tools like Google Apps, Canvas, student email, e-textbooks, academic sites, and the Home Access Center (for secondary students).
Support Your Campus
Join the PTA
The Frisco ISD Council of PTAs supports over 70 campuses with thousands of parent members. Find your PTA, and be sure to follow them on social media.
Volunteer
Volunteering provides a great opportunity to support your campus and make a positive impact. Frisco ISD requires all volunteers to complete a background check before participating. To volunteer during the upcoming school year, submit your application starting the third week in July to allow time for the required background check. Learn more about volunteer opportunities.
