Proposition A:  Voter-Approved Tax Rate Election

  • Frisco ISD is one of the largest and highest rated districts in Texas. The rate increase will help pay for the programs critical to maintaining academic standards.
  • Over the last five years, costs have gone up nearly 20% due to inflation, while at the same time, the state has not increased basic allotment funding.
  • Competitive salaries are more important than ever. This proposal will help Frisco ISD maintain competitive salaries to attract and retain the most highly qualified teachers and staff.
  • Homeowners ages 65 and older and disabled homeowners who have filed for and received a homestead exemption through their local appraisal district will not be affected if voters approve the VATRE.
