New Hires

Congratulations on your new job with Frisco ISD!

The first few days after joining a new school district can sometimes be intimidating and challenging with the online forms, new people and information, but there’s much to look forward to in FISD. We want your introduction to the District to be a great experience.

There are several steps in the new hire process, which will vary according to the position for which you have been hired.

Upon being recommended for hire, an assigned Human Resources specialist will help you throughout the new hire process. You will also receive onboarding notification emails to your personal email from workflow@friscoisd.org. If you don't see emails, check your spam or junk folders.

New Employee Onboarding Process

Step 1: Complete the FastPass

Once your hiring paperwork has been submitted by your supervisor to Human Resources, you will receive an email to your personal email account with information to start your onboarding process. Please begin by clicking the Fast Pass or Background Check link in the email.

Step 2: Access Your Frisco ISD Email Account for Online Documents

Thoroughly read through any onboarding instructions sent to your personal email address from workflow@friscoisd.org.

  • You will also receive an email with your FISD network credentials.

  • Check your FISD email frequently for additional onboarding notifications.

Step 3: Fingerprint Appointment/Background Check

The professional, paraprofessional and fine arts specialist new hires are fingerprinted through the Texas Education Agency. HR will contact Auxiliary new hires to schedule a fingerprint appointment.

  • Once fingerprints are processed, this step can take 2-5 days to complete.

Step 4: Badge Photo

Using the link sent to you by your assigned HR specialist, submit a photo to be used for your employee badge.

Step 5: Human Resources Appointment

Schedule an appointment with your assigned HR specialist to bring the following documents into Human Resources:

  • Social Security Card (for payroll purposes)

  • Driver's License (for payroll purposes)

  • Official College Transcripts (professional positions)

  • Service Records from previous districts, if applicable

  • Form I-9 and work authorization documents – List of Acceptable Documents

Additional documents may be needed depending on the position. Your assigned HR specialist will provide further information on what may be required — only report to work if your HR specialist has cleared you.

Step 6: Submit Survey

Submit the survey to complete the onboarding process. Please complete the survey to ensure the onboarding process is completed on time.
