WANTED: Community members to be involved in the schools by sharing their knowledge and expertise.
Frisco ISD is collecting names and contact information from people within the community willing to lend some time, share their expertise, and make a difference in the educational experience of our students. With this list, we will build a speaker’s bureau. Individual teachers and departments can then use this list to invite speakers to engage with their students on various topics including but not limited to the following:
Career Exploration & Goal-Setting
Communication Skills
Banking & Finances
History & Government
Geography & Cultural Diversity
STEM
Fine Arts
Health and Safety-Related Professions
Engineering & Other Technical Fields
Learning Differences
Vocational & Trades
Sports figures & Coaches
All content related to state mandates (including but not limited to SEL, Bullying, Culture and Climate, Character Education, Drug Prevention, Suicide Prevention, Anti-Victimization, Healthy Relationships, and safety lessons) are vetted through research and created internally. We do not use outside vendors or speakers for these topics.
Requirements for all speakers: Approved Voly background check.
