The District and campus-level SSSP teams are comprised of individuals with multiple disciplinary expertise serving to ensure the six primary functions of SSSP are effectively executed. The committees include special education and 504 representatives, behavior specialists, an SRO (at secondary), a counselor, a campus administrator, a custodian, a cafe supervisor, a teacher and/or nurse.
Whole Child Programming - Promote psychological and physiological safety by addressing Inclusion, health and wellness, character education, diversity, the Olweus Program, mental health, student voice, state-mandated training and school climate.
Multi-Tiered Support System - A researched based framework for carrying out work of the SSSP. Systematically aligns initiatives, resources, services and supports used to promote psychological & physiological safety, positive behavior and learning.
District Safety, Security and Emergency Management - A comprehensive approach to school safety integrating the five phases of emergency management, physical security, Safety & Security Audits, and Multi-Hazard Emergency Operations Plans.
Threat Assessment - A proactive, evidence-based approach for identifying individuals who may pose a threat and for providing interventions before a threat occurs
