District-Initiated Transfer Withdrawals

While Frisco ISD extends transfer opportunities for students in and out of district boundaries, the District maintains high expectations for these students. Transfers are a privilege, not a right.

Transfers may be denied or revoked at any time in accordance with:

Ensure your child remains in good standing

Transfers may be withdrawn due to:

  • Lack of academic progress

  • Poor attendance or excessive tardiness

  • Persistent misconduct

  • A single serious incident of misconduct

  • Behavior concerns

  • Persistent late drop-offs for the school day and pick-ups at dismissal time

Transfers will be revoked in writing at any time if:

  • There are behavior concerns, lack of academic progress or attendance issues. The campus may provide notice to the parent of the possible loss of transfer eligibility. If the behavior, academic and/or attendance concerns do not adequately improve in a timely manner, the transfer may be revoked mid-academic year or revoked effective at the end of the then-academic year, at the discretion of the campus principal.

  • There is a serious behavior incident or incident involving the student or their parent that jeopardizes the safety of the campus or District.

Consequence of Transfer Withdrawals

If a transfer is revoked either mid-academic year or at the end of an academic year, the student will be ineligible for a transfer in future academic years.
