Mission

The mission of the Frisco ISD World Language Program is to provide all language learners with meaningful experiences that develop proficiency, build cultural awareness and appreciation, and promote lifelong learning.

The goal of the FISD World Language Program is to have 80% of all graduating seniors receive the Texas Seal of Biliteracy Performance Acknowledgement by the year of 2028.

Frisco ISD World Language classrooms will:

• use a whole language approach utilizing the ACTFL Core Practices

• plan with backward design model aligning with state standards

• facilitate target language comprehensibility

• guide learners through interpreting authentic resources

• design oral interpersonal communication tasks

• provide appropriate oral feedback

• teach grammar as a concept and use in context
