School Board
About the School Board
Board members are elected at-large to three-year, staggered terms representing the entire FISD community. Early voting and Election Day polling places are established by the Denton County Elections Administrator for Denton County voters and Collin County Elections Administrator for Collin County voters by virtue of a Joint Election Agreement with both counties and other local entities. There are no runoff elections; the candidate who receives the most votes (a combined total from Collin and Denton counties) wins the seat on the School Board.
Board Meetings
Regular meetings of the Frisco ISD Board of Trustees are usually held on the second Monday of each month in the Frisco ISD Administration Building Board Room, 5515 Ohio Drive, Frisco, TX, 75035. Typically, members meet briefly in open session before moving to closed session. Open session resumes at 6:30 p.m.
Occasionally, circumstances necessitate this date and time to be changed. Special meetings are scheduled on a case-by-case basis depending on the meeting agenda.
Regular Board meetings are broadcast live online. Special meetings may be recorded and available online within 24 hours after the meeting. All meetings will be available to the public for a minimum of 365 days after the meeting is posted.
District Administration
The Superintendent is supported by an executive cabinet known in Frisco ISD as the Instructional Support Team. The IST and other organizational leaders oversee the District’s continued daily operations and provide support and guidance to campuses and central offices.
Communication to the Board, Superintendent, and Instructional Support Team may be sent to leaders@friscoisd.org.
