About Off-Campus PE

The purpose of Frisco ISD Off-Campus Physical Education program is to accommodate secondary students who are making a serious effort to develop higher-level skills allowing them to be involved in a physical education program that provides training exceeding that which is offered in our school district.  Students may apply to receive PE credit at an approved off-campus private or commercially sponsored physical activity program.

  • Semester 2 applications will be open December 2, 2024 - January 13, 2025.

  • Please note the upcoming OCPE changes for the 2024-25 school year: The following changes have been made to the Frisco ISD Off-Campus Physical Education - General Requirements and will be phased in beginning with Graduating Class of 2028 (Freshman in 2024-25 school year):

    • Golf, swimming, and tennis will no longer be included in the list of sports/activities eligible for Off Campus PE credit to high school students.

    • In an effort to work with existing high school students who already participate in these sports to earn Off Campus PE credit , FISD will allow these students (Graduating Classes of 2025, 2026, and 2027) to continue to utilize golf, swimming, and tennis as an approved Off Campus PE credit.

    • High school students in the Classes of 2025, 2026, & 2027 who were not enrolled in OCPE for golf, swimming, or tennis during the 2023-24 school year will not be eligible to add OCPE for these sports in subsequent school years.

     

    The following are qualified activities open for Off Campus PE for 2024-2025:
    Archery, Badminton, Bowling, Competitive Cheer, Cricket, Dance, Equestrian, Fencing, Figure Skating, Futsal, Golf (Middle School Only), Gymnastics, Hockey, Lacrosse, Martial Arts, Polo, Racquetball, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Rock Climbing, Rowing, Squash, Swimming (Middle School Only), Synchronized Swimming, Tennis (Middle School Only), Wrestling (Middle School Only)
    *All approved FISD OCPE facilities are found in the online application.

    *OCPE CHEERLEADERS: Cheerleaders enrolled in off-campus competitive cheer as a credit should take steps to ensure that any absences from school due to off-campus cheer do not impact school cheer-related activities. Steps should be taken to work with your cheer coach, but on-campus cheer takes priority. Absences due to off-campus cheer will be considered UNEXCUSED for on-campus cheer commitments.
