All students need to feel safe, supported, and connected in order to learn. The student services department systematically aligns initiatives, resources, services, and supports that promote psychological and physiological safety, positive behavior, and learning. Through the Whole Child Model, we support the fidelity of implementing health and wellness plans, school safety initiatives and school climate programs by campus staff.
Building connections is the express purpose of the department. We maximize experiences for learners to connect with the school community by:
supporting campuses in cultivating a sense of learner belonging and security,
defining expectations for all learners related to interpersonal awareness, and
promoting the student opportunity model.
