Summer School Program for Emergent Bilingual Students
Frisco Independent School District will offer a summer school program for qualifying secondary English language learners who currently attend Frisco ISD, as well as elementary students who qualify as incoming kindergarten and first grade English language learners.
Qualifying students will have the opportunity to participate in enrichment activities designed around a curriculum that will integrate a problem-solving model and reading strategies.
2024 Summer Program

Frisco ISD will provide a summer school program for Incoming Kindergarten (currently enrolled ESL or Bilingual preschool students) and First Grade students (currently enrolled ESL or Bilingual Kinder Students). The goal of the program is to enable English learners to become competent in the reading, listening, speaking, and writing of the English language through the development of literacy and academic skills in grade level content areas. Invitations for students that qualify for the EB K-1 Summer School Program will be sent April 22, 2024 with instructions on how to register. Window to register will close at the end of the day April 26, 2024.

In person learning Monday-Thursday
Off on May 29th and June 19th
Asynchronous learning on Fridays

The EB K-1 Summer School Program is offered at no cost to the family. Parents/guardians for students who qualify for the summer program will receive an invitation to participate via email.
