College, Career, Military, & Life Ready
Today’s students must learn how to work both independently and collaboratively, embrace challenges, develop creative solutions to problems, and navigate technology in unprecedented, ever-changing ways. Our goal is for students to develop the necessary skills to achieve their personalized goals for the future. The Profile of a Future Ready Learner highlights the transferable skills that we want all students in Frisco ISD to learn.
Additionally, Frisco ISD equips students for their exciting futures by offering a wide variety of courses, programs, services and competitions that appeal to many interests and educational goals.
In our Advanced Academics Department, students have multiple opportunities to earn college credit while still in high school. Our Advanced Placement program, International Baccalaureate Programme at Frisco High School, and our dual credit options all provide different options for students to get ahead on their college coursework. Our Career and Technical Education Department offers courses in multiple career pathways including engineering, health sciences and computer science.
FISD also supports military readiness and offers the Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps at Lebanon Trail High School.
